Many apple users have said that apple has better security than android. Apple has a good reputation for security because apple’s operating system is a closed system, but the reputation could have been working against it. there are advice from cyber security agency of Singapore as there are security threats increase and hackers take your data.
Android devices are the opposite, they are relying on open-source code. Meaning that the owners can play around with the phone and tablet operating systems. If we play around with the system it might affect the devices’ security. If a phone maker put out the new device with new upgrades to the android operating system and there might be a vulnerability in that code.
IOS might be the most secure operating system but its not impossible for cybercriminals to hit apple devices. Both Operating system would need to be aware of malware and viruses, and always be careful of third party app stores.
There are social engineering attacks which cybercriminals attempt to bait users into giving up log-in information to bank accounts and other personal data. This could affect both IOS and Android.
