IOS is the world’s well known and most secure operating systems over android. But do you actually know why IOS secure and what are some of the function to keep it secure.
Here are some of the security functions to keep the OS safe:
Secure Boot
When IOS boots up, the system would run a low-level boot loader which would ensure no malicious or otherwise unauthorised software that would be able to run on the IOS device. After checking, it would run a higher level boot loader to start up the device.
Secure Enclave
A secure enclave is a coprocessor found on an IOS device which contain the touch ID or Face ID. It runs its own secure boot process to ensure absolute security, a hardware random number generator is also included as a part of this coprocessor and this would be more secure as it protects the device from brute force attacks.
Encryption
Encryption on IOS is pretty normal and you would normally find encryptions in the memory of the secure enclave. When a passcode is utilised on an IOS device it would encrypt the IOS device
Network Security
IOS supports TLS or Transport Layer Security with both low-and high-level APIs for developers. When the Wi-Fi is enabled, IOS would randomized the location of the device to ensure that it cannot be tracked by anyone.
Cyber Attack can happen anywhere in Singapore even on mobile devices like IOS devices but its harder to access remotely so to ensure your IOS device is always secure make sure you update regularly
